Finding gluten free cafes suitable for those of us with Coeliac Disease is a mission. So when you find a gem, you have to share it! With that said, if you’re in Brisbane, you have to visit one my go-to gluten-free cafe’s, Nodo (pronounced “no-dough”, get it?).
Nodo is a 100% gluten-free and coeliac-friendly cafe, with several locations all across Brisbane. They originally became well-known for their GF ‘baked not fried’ donuts, but have since expanded into a cafe with seasonal, nourishing, gluten-free food. They also have their ‘Nodo at home’ products, where you can buy gluten-free packet mixes and breads. I have yet to try these, but they look delicious. I have my eye on their banana bread mix.
If you’ve recently been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, 100% gluten free cafes are a great way to start eating out again whilst you build your confidence and knowledge in eating out safely. This way, you don’t have to worry about cross-contamination. Plus, Nodo’s food is so delicious, that you’re non-GF friends and family will love it too.

I’ve tried both their donuts and menu items, and I have not been disappointed. If you’re in the mood for a donut, I recommend their strawberry hazelnut donut. And although it’s not currently in their menu, these probiotic waffles from a few months back were incredible! Crossing my fingers they bring it back. But you can actually purchase their waffle mix from their ‘Nodo at home’ range.
Have you tried Nodo cafe yet? Oh and if you have any other favourite GF cafes, feel free to drop them in the comments so I can check them out! ❤️
